Hellooooo and welcome to another one of those sessions where my brain poops all over your screens. I do my braindumps on the last day of every month, and every month, I tend to convey my disbelief at how time flies. WHAT? It's the end of another month? WHAT? November is gone? Just like that? WHAT? Just a month of 2016 is left?
Want to hear something even crazier? I've been talking about my brain taking a dump on your screens for 7 months now! (WHAAAA?) Seriously, there are 7 whole braindumps on this website now and that makes me very happy. I wrote the first one on May 25 of this year after returning from Southampton and falling miserably sick. This morning, I went back and read it because that's the whole point of this blog. To go back and look through my online scrapbook. It's the best feeling in the world. In that first braindump, I mention that it's my first "official" braindump, as in it's the first time I gave the whole process of letting my brain poop all over your screens a name. I also mention how I do this more for myself than for anyone else because these braindumps give me the license to write about everything that comes to mind at the exact moment of typing things out. In the past 7 months, I've turned this into a tradition where serious brain pooping happens on the last day of every month. That brings us to now. Like I said, I do this more for myself than for anyone else and I love my braindumps. So I feel incredibly possessive of the phrase "my brain takes a dump on your screens" and would appreciate it if you respected that phrase as mine and mine alone, and maybe even attributed me before using it elsewhere saying that you acquired this phrase from Her Highness Likespoopjokes, the High Queen of 22 Nelson Street. Because I'm openly selfish and don't even share my shower gel with my husband y'know, and this ain't no "cucumber-village" (my fellow Mallus will get that last joke). Teehee :D
But coming back to my braindumps, I extended this tradition to my podcast as well where once a month, Meenal and I sit with you guys and talk about everything that comes to our minds without any structure of any sort. We do this in the form of Youtube videos and in case you haven't watched the first one yet, here you go:
We'll be recording our second braindump this week and I just cannot wait! Woo-hoo!
Speaking of Youtube videos, the first thing I watched this morning was the Epic Rap Battle featuring Superwoman as Wonder-Woman. It goes without saying that Lilly Singh does a great job at everything she does and I absolutely adore her. There are hundreds of people out there who do what she does, who started after she did and some who even try very hard to be her. But she's such an amazing combination of unique talent and professionalism that every single person in the creative field should take a page out of her book. I've never asked you this question before but are there any Superwoman admirers among you? If so, high-five!
Speaking of ERB, I don't know if you guys are into their videos but Shane and I LOVE them. This morning after watching their 'Wonder Woman vs Stevie Wonder' video, I went back to watch one of our all time favourites - Gandhi vs Martin Luther King Jr.
The first time I watched it, I laughed so hard that my mom walked into my room to ask me what was going on. And this morning, I watched it again and that's what put me in the perfect mood to type out this post.
By the way Dad, I'm really curious to see your reaction to that video considering how patriotic you are. That said, you do have quite the sense of humour so you might actually like it.
Because guys, the Epic Rap Battle featuring Superwoman was not the first thing I woke up to this morning. It was to this forward message from my dad which he forwarded directly to me instead of posting on the Whatsapp group with Shane, so that his son-in-law never finds out that I got my fart humour from my dad.
A fart is a pleasant thing, It gives the belly ease,
It warms the bed in winter,
And suffocates the fleas.
A fart can be quiet, A fart can be loud,
Some leave a powerful,
A fart can be short, Or a fart can be long,
Some farts have been known
To sound like a song.....
A fart can create A most curious medley,
A fart can be harmless,
Or silent and deadly.
A fart might not smell, While others are vile,
A fart may pass quickly,
Or linger a while......
A fart can occur In a number of places,
And leave everyone there,
With strange looks on their faces.
From wide-open prairie, To small elevators,
A fart will find all of
Us sooner or later.
That farts are all bad, Is simply not true-
We must never forget.......
Some farts like you know who!
WHAT? My father who doth not poop is sending me early morning fart greetings? Life is perfect now!
On that farty note, happy last day of November, you guys! I hope you have a wonderful December ahead, full of good cheer and happiness :)
