We all have enough to spare

Shane and I have been living together for over a year and a half now. For most of this time, we've been very irresponsible with our finances, making impulsive decisions and hardly ever saving for our future. More often than not, all the money we do manage to save up for a while eventually disappears in one go when we get attracted to something shiny, beautiful and sometimes, totally unnecessary. Often, at the end of a month, we sit down and talk about how we maybe shouldn't have splurged on this service or that gadget. We've come to regret a lot of channels we gave our money to. However, the only thing we never regret is whatever little we manage to give to charity as often as we can. It's not always a lot, but we try.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. No matter what our present condition is like, unless we're struggling to get by each day, we all have enough to spare for those who aren't as privileged as we are.
