Easy Chicken Paprikash

Say it with me - FOR LAZY PEOPLE. This took less than 30 minutes to whip up and served as a memorable meal over some wine and Django Unchained playing in the background.

Things you will need:

  • Chicken legs and thighs - 6 pcs in total

  • Large Onion - 1

  • Garlic - 3 cloves (minced)

  • Spicy Paprika and powdered chilli of choice - 5 tsp in total because we like our dishes spicy. However, if you're like The Bromance, you might want to reduce that to 2 or 3 tsps.

  • Flour - 3 tbsp

  • Stock - 1 cup/ 1 can

  • Diced tomatoes - 1 can

Method :

  • Brown the chicken on a pan after seasoning with Salt and Pepper.

  • Remove chicken from the pan, leaving the fat behind.

  • Cook the onion (thinly sliced) and garlic in the fat.

  • Once the oil clears, add the paprika, chilli and the flour (the flour thickens the dish).

  • Slowly add the stock to avoid forming lumps.

  • Add the can of diced tomatoes.

  • Season with salt and pepper.

  • Bring everything to a boil.

  • Add the chicken.

  • Cover and cook for about 20 mins till the chicken is done.

  • Serve with rice/noodles.

We had ours with our favourite coconut rice.

Hope you enjoy this one too! Do let me know if you try it :)
