Just 3 sleeps to go until Christmas wooohooooo! So this time, I've decided to change things up a little bit. If you've been around for the past 6 weeks, you might remember that I decided to start this tradition of sharing music playlists every Thursday after realising that Shane shows me love every week by sharing his favourite songs and playlists with me. He's sent me A LOT of songs over time, so every Thursday, I select 7 of my favourites from that week to share with you.
However this week, I'm feeling very festive and Christmasy. We've had Christmas songs playing on repeat in our home. We've been burning cedarwood and cinnamon candles every evening, putting up wall decal, stealing Christmas cards, and dancing to Idina Menzel & Michael Buble's Baby It's Cold Outside. Now, I should tell you that Shane's never been interested in being festive and usually, he doesn't give a shit. But after all this time of sharing a home with me, I think he might be warming up to the idea of making a big deal out of everything. He even surprised me with a little Christmasy plant (which I haven't watered since FML) and some mulled wine. So this week, I'm the one selecting all the songs and composing the playlist, sending both him and you guys Christmas cheer and love!
Before going into some detail about the 7 songs I've chosen, let me first remind you to listen to this week's episode of the podcast where Meenal and I share our season's favourites and announce a GIVEAWAY! We're giving away four items as we approach the end of our first season, so do listen to the episode to find out how you can enter the contest!
Now for the songs that have had me in an awesome mood all month. I created a Youtube playlist this time because some of the videos are pure genius. They're so old and festive, and transport me to a magical Christmasy wonderland sometimes. I'm sure you'll especially enjoy Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You, and Michael Buble's It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (which is the first song on the playlist. As always, I decided to keep the best for the end. It's the one that I mentioned above that Shane and I dance to - Idina Menzel & Michael Buble's Baby It's Cold Outside. We especially love the video of this song with little cutesy kids dancing about. I hope you love it too :)
Enjoy! And Merry-Almost-Christmas, everyone!
