Christmas Tag with Shane

OMG this is my last post before CHRISTMAAAAAAAAS! This totally calls for a massive misuse of the caps lock button and exclamation points on my keyboard!!!!!! I wanted to write a nice fun Christmasy post today so when I came across a Christmas Tag on my friend Natasha's lifestyle blog, I thought that would be a fun little thing to try out this month. Just as I sat down to type this post, Shane woke up with drool dripping down the side of his mouth and had a mini panic fit 'cos he couldn't find his glasses. He's quite blind without those glasses, you see. It was quite a spectacle (see what I did there?) and was so far from a graceful Christmasy morning for him, that I got struck with the idea of getting him to do the tag. After all, the only Christmas song he knows is Jingle Bells. It's going to be perfect.

So without further ado, presenting The Christmas Tag with Shane.

  1. Use one noise to describe how excited you are for Christmas.
  2. What's your favourite Christmas film?
DIE HARD. The greatest Christmas movie ever made. "If you think about it, it’s basically “Home Alone,” but with live ammo".

  3. Do you still have advent calendars?
I got a Galaxy Chocolate advent calendar from work which I generously donated to my wife. She complained that it was "taking up too much space", so guess what she did? She found a place where she could store it vertically by "also making it look good". She placed it on top of the radiator and now all the chocolate has melted. I caught her slurping the molten chocolate out of the box.

  4. Did you get a real or fake Christmas tree?
Neither. But I did get Ankita a real Christmasy potted plant that has little white fake snow on top. She named it Christina after her favourite character from Grey's Anatomy and explained that it sounded like a Christmasy name. The real reason is that she needs this plant to be a tough survivor because she hasn't watered it even once.
I'm going to take a break from answering these questions to water it now.

  5. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
    SLEEP. EAT. REPEAT.

  6. What is your favorite Christmas song?
    The original Jingle Bells.

    Jingle Bells

    Batman Smells

    Robin Laid An Egg

    The Batmobile Lost A Wheel

    And Joker Got Away'

  7. Are you a pro- present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
Oh, I'm a pro. Except for taking 5 hours and reams of wrapping paper to wrap a single gift while serenaded by blood-curdling screams of impatient onlookers, everything is perfect.

  8. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I want to go to the North Pole and watch the Aurora Borealis.

  9. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
No. But I stick to them like cheap supermarket glue. I'm really sorry. That was a horrible joke but it still made Ankita laugh.

  10. You have been granted one Christmas wish. What will it be?
I want to be fit forever without ever having to exercise.

Hope that made you smile :)
